A person (Sierra) stands smiling in front of a backdrop of a light brown lattice and vegetation. She is wearing a dark blue sweatshirt that says MVLA Speech and Debate, her hand is on her hip, and her wavy brown hair falls down in front of her.

pursuing justice in policy and practice

At Stanford Law School, I plan to focus my studies on environmental justice and civil rights law. I have spent the past few years at the California Air Resources Board, where I worked in the Office of Environmental Justice, Tribal Affairs, and Border Relations and Office of Community Air Protection as an Executive Fellow, then on the California Climate Investments team as a policy specialist focused on budget and legislative affairs. I previously spent time working as a Course Associate for Stanford’s Human Biology core classes on environmental and health policy, evolution and ecology, and psychosocial development. Outside of work and school, I spend my time baking experimental recipes, reading and writing speculative fiction, and exploring the world via public transit whenever I can.
